Teresa Manion is Of Counsel in the firm’s Madison office. She focuses her practice on appellate and complex litigation. Teresa has experience litigating a wide range of civil matters, including cases involving breach of contract and torts, and counseling businesses on preventing and structuring litigation.
Before joining Eimer Stahl, Teresa served as a law clerk to Justice Brian Hagedorn of the Supreme Court of Wisconsin. Prior to that she was an associate at a firm in the Chicago suburbs.

Wisconsin Legislature v. Governor Evers and Department of Public Instruction (Dane Cnty.; Wis. Sup. Ct.) – Obtained unanimous victory for the Wisconsin Legislature in closely watched separation-of-powers and partial veto battle with the executive branch.
Edgerton Hospital and Health Services v. Dean Health Systems, Inc. (Dane Cnty. Cir. Ct.) – Represented one of the largest health systems in Wisconsin in a breach-of-contract lawsuit brought by an affiliated hospital over whether SSM Health could require a divested health insurance plan to treat certain orthopedic surgeons at Edgerton Hospital as in-network providers.
Chen v. Hillsdale College (W.D. Mich.) – Obtained victory at the motion to dismiss stage for a private college in a putative class action alleging sex discrimination and consumer fraud.
Rougeau v. 3M Company (W.D. Wis.) – Representing a chemical manufacturer in a class action in which plaintiffs allege that the Rhinelander Paper Mill and its product suppliers are responsible for PFAS contamination of their properties.
Wisconsin Dairy Alliance v. Kaul (Calumet Cnty. Cir. Ct.) – Representing diary groups and a Wisconsin resident in an action challenging the Wisconsin Attorney General’s use of a special prosecutor privately funded by the State Energy and Environmental Impact Center at New York University.
