Vaishali Movva is Of Counsel at Eimer Stahl, focusing on complex commercial litigation and international arbitration. She has represented companies across a variety of industries, including technology, fintech, private equity, media, healthcare, transport, consumer goods, energy, and construction. She has extensive experience guiding U.S. and Asian clients in state and federal courts, as well as in domestic and international arbitrations, handling every stage of the process—including advising clients on pre-dispute strategy, drafting pleadings, leading discovery and document production, guiding witness testimony, preparing expert reports, and enforcing or challenging arbitral awards, including those issued in foreign jurisdictions.

In addition to her commercial practice, Vaishali is dedicated to pro bono work, corporate responsibility regarding environmental obligations, and affordable housing in the U.S. She is also an active voice in the arbitration community and is frequently invited to speak at prominent international panels and law schools.

Vaishali earned her LL.M. from Stanford Law School and a Bachelor of Arts and Law from Gujarat National Law University in Gandhinagar, India (honors). At Stanford Law School, she was elected and served as Co-President of the Stanford International Arbitration Association. Before joining Eimer Stahl, she served as a tribunal secretary to an independent arbitrator, practiced at leading Indian law firms, and was a legal liaison to the Chairman of the Drafting Committee, International Law Commission, UN (Geneva).

Represent a global cryptocurrency platform in multiple arbitration trials, including conducting fact investigations, preparing briefs, guiding witness examinations, assisting with expert reports, and assisting with trial.

Representing a major American transportation network company in lawsuits alleging violations of California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.

Secured a summary dismissal for an online dating company in a AAA domestic arbitration.

Representing a U.S. payment processing solutions company in a motion to vacate an ICDR award.

Representing a business association advocacy group as discovery counsel, including overseeing and training contract attorneys’ work-products, researching and addressing privilege concerns, conducting quality control checks, ensuring accurate coding, amongst other tasks.

Representing the State of Tennessee in action seeking to hold Meta responsible for alleged violations of the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act related to the design of and public statements about Instagram and its harmful impacts on youth mental health.

Assisted in advising the American Osteopathic Association concerning a class action lawsuit against American Board of Internal Medicine regarding ABIM’s monopoly over certifications for internal medicine physicians, restricting board certification opportunities for osteopathic physicians and unfairly limiting advancement within residency and fellowship training programs.

Representing Humana in action where a pharmaceutical company allegedly engaged in a fraudulent kickback scheme to increase the price of and demand for its orphan drug.

Assisted in identifying documents relating to costs for a Fortune 100 company in breach of contract dispute against major business partner in an ICC Arbitration.

Advised an online gaming company for a potential declaratory judgment concerning certain copyright infringement claims.

Assisting the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights in pursuing a claim for damages against multiple landlords and real estate brokerages who denied plaintiff access to housing based on her intent to use a Section 8 housing voucher to pay for a portion of her rent. This case is the first of its kind since Illinois’ legislature added a private cause of action for source of income discrimination to the state’s Human Rights Act and will establish an important precedent protecting the rights of low-income housing voucher recipients across Illinois.

Advised a U.S. company in obtaining proprietary information unlawfully taken from an employee in India.

Represented a Qatari company in its claim for damages for breach of a construction contract in an international commercial arbitration (London seat, ICC Rules, Qatari Law).

Represented and advised a founder on his exit from a multinational online company buying and selling dairy and cattle, including contesting his unlawful termination in arbitral proceedings before the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).

Represented, advised and conducted trial for a leading Indian Company in its claim for damages for a breach of a brewing contract in a domestic commercial arbitration and advancing a counterclaim under a brewing contract with a value of USD 50 million.

Represented a joint venture between a German and Indian Company which manufactures super abrasive grinding wheels in a trademark suit over its name and branding against a global US company before a Civil Court in India.

Represented and advised a U.S. hedge fund-controlled OTT streaming platform in defending an application for interim reliefs for breach of an exclusivity agreement to air a popular TV show.

Represented a multinational company in setting aside a foreign arbitral award (ICC Rules, Sudanese Law) before the High Court of Karnataka on limited public policy grounds.

Advised a U.S. operated automobile company in launching inter-state bus services in India, including preparing regulatory due diligence reports, reviewing the requirements under Indian law for a foreign company to invest in a bus business, and advising the directors of the foreign company on structuring possibilities in India.

Assisted Blackstone in acquiring majority stake in Essel Propack Ltd for U.S. $462 million in a public takeover under the Securities Exchange Board of India regulations (public information).

Assisted HIG Capital LLC in a private equity investment in US based MedusInd (public information).
