Austin Peters is a Stakeholder in Eimer Stahl's Chicago office. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and arbitration, as well as data privacy and AI matters.
Before joining the firm, Austin served as the Harry A. Bigelow Teaching Fellow and Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School, where he taught legal research and writing and a course on AI and the Future of Law. His scholarship applying AI and other cutting-edge data science methods to topics including statutory interpretation, civil procedure, and contract law has appeared in leading law reviews, including the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and Northwestern University Law Review, as well as in peer-reviewed computer science publications. He earned his J.D. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University.
He previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Kevin C. Newsom of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
