Tennessee v. Meta – Collin served as discovery counsel to the State of Tennessee in its landmark consumer-protection suit alleging that Instagram's design features harm the mental health of young users. On August 26, 2026, the State reached a landmark settlement with Meta under which Meta will pay approximately $750 million to the State and make major design changes to Instagram to protect children and teens.
Roku mass arbitration – As lead partner for Roku, Collin defeated a mass arbitration of privacy claims in its entirety and secured six figures in fee shifting awards against claimants and claimants’ counsel. In an unusual result, the claimants' counsel ultimately paid to have the remaining claims dropped.
Clearview AI – Collin represents the facial-recognition company in a California privacy matter set for trial next year, with significant implications for law enforcement and public-safety applications of the technology.
