John Adams, an Eimer Stahl Stakeholder, was recently interviewed by both PBS and ABC7 Chicago to discuss Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court. John clerked for Judge Barrett on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit from 2017 to 2018.
During the PBS News Hour interview earlier this week, John helped viewers better understand who Judge Barrett is as a person and as a jurist. “She is unfailingly kind. She is courageous. And she is fair...she is a principled jurist, who will also put the rule of law before any personal preference or public pressure that she may receive,” John stated. “She approaches every case with an open mind and a foundational commitment that either side might be right, and it's the law and the facts that guide the decision,” he added.
John was also quoted by ABC7 Chicago in an discussing Judge Barrett’s rise from first in her class at Notre Dame Law School to her appointment as Seventh Circuit judge.
John is currently assisting Judge Barrett with preparing for her upcoming hearings.
